Lessons from the NET 🎾
I started playing tennis in 2009 as a total beginner - a 2.5. In 2011 - I rose up to a 3.5 player - and I went on a tennis holiday with three girlfriends. We left Austin and travelled to San Diego to play tennis, had spa time and visit the fun gaslamp district.
We took a lesson a day with the pro at the hotel. I don't know how it came up but I mentioned that I was going to be a 4.5 someday.
Well - he laughed and said, "You will NEVER be a 4.5!" It hurt my feelings. But you know what? I DIDN'T AGREE WITH HIM. I believed that I would be a 4.5! And I am now.
DON'T let other people decide your future or put you down. Keep trying anyway. Even if you don't make your goals - IT'S FUN TRYING!!
